Laser Surgery

Our surgery suite is equipped with a Luxar CO2 Laser. Our doctors have performed over 2000 operations to date using the laser instead of conventional methods. The laser uses a beam of light without touching the tissue to cut and cauterize tissue in place of a scalpel blade and conventional surgery instruments. We feel that in most surgical procedures, the laser reduces bleeding during surgery, reduces post operative pain and swelling, and speeds up the recovery process.

Operations that we routinely perform using the laser are:

  • Feline declawing
  • Spaying and neutering
  • Tumor removal
  • Eye surgeries such as entropion
  • Abdominal surgery
